No matter how empty and static a picture of an interior may be, a still capture of child who runs up and down in that house instantly turns it to life.

And that’s how this private house from Jakarta, Indonesia caught my eye. It was just another interior with white walls, wooden floors, rather minimal design and interior decoration. But the image of a child running in there changed everything and breathe more life in that house than an entire forest would ever do.Given the small courtyard, I’m impressed they could squeeze a pool there!

I guess Aboday’s philosophy which favors dialogue with the client and harmonious connection to the context and the function of the house really made a point with this Indonesian private house.
