Exterior Folding Blinds Freshwater House, Chenchow Little Architects
It’s all in the details. This beautiful house is located in Sydney, Australia and has a unique way of being completely closed and yet absolutely opened to the exterior.
The dark folding blinds/screens surround the entire exterior of the house. It’s an amazing way to keep the interior connected to the environment and I wish more buildings would adopt this unveiling system.
The blinds are made of wood, in the same color as the rest of the house – charcoal grey, a modern yet very discreet finish. The bold architecture and the screening solutions are both signed by the Australian architects duo Chenchow Little. You can visit their website and find out more about their work here.

Congratulations on your wonderful Australian architecture. As a wife, mother and sister-in-law of Architects, I know and understand the implications of modern Australian Architecture. When planning our own house in Perth, WA, I have endorsed your use of louvres and wood and found them inspirational in our plans. Well done and keep up the inspiration, Melinda Cownie
