Transparent House – Concrete Art

When I think about flooring, I can’t get wood out of my mind. It’s beautiful, warm, alive, clean. However, it seems concrete should be taken into consideration too.
It clearly isn’t my flooring of choice, but it’s interesting and could find a proper emplacement. Transparent House, the architectural rendering studio, has come up with floral design patterns for concrete floors. Even if they’re conceptual for the moment, the technology really exists and the concrete embroidery can be done. The patterns can be installed before of after the concrete has set in. Where do you think they’d make a good impression? (source via)

Creativeans Presents The Blue Sqoosh Bench

Made of fiberglass, this bench also comes in pearl white or hot pink. It’s called Sqoosh and it’s signed by Creativeans (a Singapore based design firm).
Sqoosh has restrained use field. Creativeans describes it as a best selling potential for public spaces and waiting lounges because of the ripples separating people. You can also use the ripples as a magazine rack. 2m long, it’s perfect for along the walls emplacements. I think it could actually work. It’s funny enough to catch the eye and functional (with the ripples) enough to keep people satisfyingly separated. Would you sit on one of these if the occasion presented itself? (via)

Turning The Table – Balmoral Pool Table

Because it’s fun and could actually work, I wanted to share with you this very special table – the Pool table.
You can have your very own, very normal dinner table on one side and if you turn it, it will instantly transform into a Pool table in just few seconds. I don’t think the price is justified – $5,400 since this kind of two in one products normally target those who suffer from lack of space, but it’s an interesting concept after all. It’s available in two colors – oak and mahogany, it also comes with 2†snooker balls, 2x cues, 2 person scorer, chalk, brush and wood triangle. However, someone who can pay 5k for a table like this one, couldn’t be more likely that he/she had a special designated room for recreation and as such, playing pool in the dining room would be ridiculous? Windows For Your Window
For quite some time I made a passion in finding different ways to decorate the windows. Curtains, layers, it all comes down to the result.
Fenêtres 3.1 is a great blind for your office window as it allows you to stay system focused even when dreaming, staring at the window. I wanted to show you this for the fun of it and because it really fits, no matter how weird it seems. I know my husband would strongly disagree since he’s a Linux user. To be honest, I have my resent regarding the blue screen too (last time I saw it on my laptop screen, I lost a hard disk). Would you consider updating your windows with the latest version available? (even if not, isn’t this a neat idea?) (via)
Space Savers – F2 The Folding Table By Nils Frederking

A brilliant idea yet so overpriced! The F2 Folding Table by Nils Frederking is an easy to store, easy to mount and easy to use folding furniture.
It looks minimal and sleek and could work wonders in any space – from a private home to a lounge or restaurant. The table and be brought together with just an easy circular move. It’s available in walnut or gloss white lacquer and has a steel chrome frame. The three panels forming the top are ingeniously articulated. The table has also matching chairs that you can fold and unfold in three simple steps. You can see the demonstrative short movie for the Folding table after the pictures and see for yourself if the $2,720 price tag is justified. (via)
