Nicola From Bern Delta – Bed With Tubular Grid

bed with tubular grid by nicola from bern delta 2

Nicola From Bern’s Delta project is a bed with fiberglass reinforced plastic tubes. Surprising and very practical, this bed can be adjusted to different sizes of mattress.

There’s no need for tools to install this frame made from plastic and wood. The tubes can be telescoped to adjust the mattress size and the frames can fold to hold everything together. This product has a great potential and could help save a lot of space and time when it comes to folding and storage. As it’s made of plastic tubes and plywood I imagine it weights trios fois rien. So it’s another plus for the bed with tubular grid. Since it’s still a prototype, there’s no word about durability (yet). Let’s hope for the best so it’ll hit mass production!

Sitting Corner Furniture By Anat Beitl

Anat Beitl Sitting Corner Furniture

For some reason, this chair looks so inviting and so comfortable to me, I had to take a closer look.

It’s part of the Bezalel (the Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem) graduate project for industrial design. Signed by Anat Beitl and called Sitting Corner Furniture it’s perfectly modern and fit for a minimalist design. It’s conventional enough to meet even the most rigorous design demands and intriguing enough to get a closer look. Like I did and found myself charmed by it.

Autumn Bookshelf By David Sanchez & Pcm

Autumn Bookshelf by David Sanchez and Pcm

This amazing Autumn Bookshelf by David Sanchez & Pcm isn’t fit just for a seasonal decoration theme.

Once I saw it I was completely submerged by the simplicity and the beauty of the leafless tree appearance of this Autumn bookshelf. Its rusty looks add in personality and charm. Carefully made of sheet metal of steel, the Autumn bookshelf is hand treated and lacquered. If you can’t get enough of it, the good news is that the Autumn bookshelf looks better when joined together with another Autumn bookshelf… and another…

Solaleya, The Green Rotating Home

Solaleya The Green Rotating Home 1

Besides having this impossibly to resist round shape, the Solaleya domes are amazing inventions signed by Patrick Marsilli. The first Solaleya saw the light of the sun in France, 1988 and 130 more were built up until present times.

The special mushroom shape and the huge windows allow a sun day long natural lighting. There’s also something special about this Solaleya houses – you can opt for a rotating dome because the Solaleya have sun rooftops and you can rotate the house following the sun. The energy used for a 360 deg rotation equals a vacuum cleaner round in the entire house.

Milano Selfstanding Radiators By Tubes Radiatori

Radiators Milano by Tubes Radiatori

I love radiators that don’t look as such. Crossing over the classic and limitative border of normal radiators is always a great design move.

Tubes Radiatori spawned Milano, a new generation of hydraulic radiators. Tubes Milao are made of steel but you can choose the color of the paint to match your interior so no one would notice their actual function. You can use the tubes either standing on their own because there’s a supportive base to them but you can also attach them to the walls for a great statuesque effect. I look forward to more radiator shapes that I could consider part of my interior rather than a functional piece only meant to heat the space. (via)

Wroxton Road House By Nonya Grenader

Wroxton Road House by Nonya Grenader 2

I found this Wroxton Road House in my daily internet ramblings and was impressed by its warmth. The pictures do help a lot in this kind of judgement but I also have to draw your attention towards the wooden details and the simplicity of the construction.

The house was designed by Nonya Grenader. Her work is always cozy and family friendly so this Wroxton Road House makes no exception. It’s an 1800 square feet house connected with a 700 square feet studio through an upper lever bridge. Underneath there’s an adorable double height porch that could easily be used as an exterior terrace. The large windows help build a familiar space and amazing light for this beautiful house. Even if the Wroxton Road House has a very container-like appearance, its regular shapes clean up the perspective and relax the eye. I could easily imagine living in this house by Nonya Grenader and having breakfast on the terrace under the communicating bridge!
