D’Amore Chair or The Naked Chair is made by the Designer Russell Grigg from the Australians Chez Banc. You can have it in its original form, transparent plastic, or you can just add the mattress of your desire: leather, fabric, fur. Or the Union Jack for a patriotic design moment.
Urban Villa Domus Malles By Metrogramma, Bolzano Italy
Residential architecture has become less and less impressive nowadays. Lack of space, time or/and money could be some of the reasons behind the residential dull-design.
But when a project demands for high creativity and the architects are completely up to the task, you’ve got something like the Urban Villa Domus Malles popping up in the scenery. The 2,500,000 euro residential project is located in Bolzano, Italy and was designed by architects Andrea Boscietti, Alberto Francini and Enzo Fontana from Metrogramma. The 14 apartment residential building was started in 2006 and finished in 2007.
The SwiTCh Table And Chair By Ellen Ectors
This surprising switch Table Chair is made by Ellesco International and was designed by the Belgian Designer Ellen Ectors as her graduation work from Sint Lukas Brussels.
What is switch – above all it’s a new concept. It’s a chair turning into a table, it’s a table turning into a chair, it’s both in the same time. Combining two of the simplest geometrical shapes – a cube and a sphere, switch is handmade from a wooden structure of massif oak and leather, the ball is filled with polyether foam. Every swiTCh has a unique number on the back. This is a beautiful design by Ellen Ectors, playful and colorful, made with care and love for design. I see these swiTCh-es suitable for grown ups and kids alike, so I’d say it’s a great design, both aesthetic and practical.
Handmade Aqua Pendant Lamp by Jeffrey Goodman
The Aqua pendant by New York designer Jeffrey Goodman from jGood design is a great bubbly perspective over the lighting world.
Handmade (hand blown, to be more specific) with three blobs of glass dropped onto the fixture and sucked in, the Aqua Pendant is an eco friendly product. Unique and signed by the artist it’s a perfect example of the versatility of this great material. It also comes in more colors and various finishes and I personally like the blue one (and find it more suitable since the lamp is called Aqua Pendant).
