The Reversible Destiny Lofts – Mitaka, Tokyo

Reversible Destiny Lofts Mitaka Tokyo 2

These lofts look gorgeous and aren’t meant (only) for children. If we are to believe their designers, Awakawa and Madeline Gins, they’re like a fountain of youth and happiness.

How could that be? Well it seems whoever designed them, managed to create a living space where their residents discover what makes their body function. And how. Thus giving them the chance to doubt themselves and ask questions about themselves. Hence the notion “reversible destiny” attached to this architectural invention. Word is, these reversible destiny lofts can make your life longer. I wonder if looking at them suffices!

  1. the future is here

  2. I visited these lofts. They look cool and all, but they are absolutely impossible to live in. The floors are all bumpy and at odd angles, there is no way to use any thing like furniture in there, and the concrete walls floors and ceilings make them feel cold and dead, no matter how colorful they are. These lofts are great for photographs but a complete failure architecturally.

  3. Caitlin: OMFG!!! I am like in LOVE wit them. They are so AWESOME!! I would totally like in them idc wat the angles are I want to move in. in 3 years, wit my ppl!! Hellz Ya!!

Jackie: Hmmm Well obiously caitlin enjoys them. but i doubt it would be simple to actually llve in them. the floor is a drag but the style and colors are freaking amazing. i wonder how much it would cost to completlty furnish the loft.
