Harmonia 57, Sao Paulo Brazil

I guess this building changes the way I understand the “living space†concept. Harmonia 57 is Triptyque’s office building located in west Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The eco system which allows the vegetation to grow on the walls of the building is heavily sustained by a watering structure running through the concrete walls. The plants grow in little cavities specially designed for this purpose. In time, all the concrete should be covered in vegetation.

The Necklace House, Yamagata Japan

The Necklace House built in Yamagata, Japan by Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP architects is a beautiful sight to see.
Its main attraction (at least to me), besides the unusual shape, is the bathroom. Why? Simply because it has 16,000 windows! I was amazed and found the outcome pretty impressive. This special feature as well as the house’s C-shape and the interior gardens gave the very special necklace-like continuity to the house.

Soho Buildings Welcome JR 28 Millimetres Women Photographs

Starting October 3rd until 14th November, a special artistic manifest goes building-high in London’s Soho.
It’s about the photographic work of JR, a young French street photographer/artist who’s known for his unconventional exhibitions across the world. (in 2007 he organized with Marco “Face 2 face†– the world’s largest illegal photo exhibition involving Israeli an and Palestinian cities and the wall of separation where huge posters with pictures of Israelis and Palestinian face to face were installed).

Soho’s Lazarides Galleries are responsible for this initiative. JR’s 28 Millimeters: Women, photos taken by JR in Rio de Janeiro. Some images have a toll free number beneath where you can hear the photographed woman’s story. It’s a great initiative that I hope will bring more awareness on the delicate matters of the world! One-Two Townhouse, Houston Texas

The One-Two Townhouse from Houston Texas is made for developer Carol Isaak Barden by architect Francois De Menil.
The project was metaphorically imagined like two dancers in step, each dancer holding its partner but still looking beyond one another. The buildings were so built that they’re quite distinct even if they share a common plaza. One of the units has winding staircase and two bedrooms. The other unit has three bedrooms, more views and a deck off the master bedroom.

Brodie Neill’s SKL Lounge

Coming from the creator the @chair and e-turn, this SKL lounge is a classic creation. Not without innovation, but it won’t burst you out of your chair with amazement. That’s why I love it. It’s discreet yet so beautiful. It’s like a red rose in the snow. The Skl Lounge is made of plywood, steel and upholstery.
Brodie Neill’s success as a designer came with no delay right after his graduation with the two well known products mentioned above and I expect he will continue with no less impressive products than his already accomplished work. (via)
