The Sweet House By TNA Architects And Kouichi Izumi
I don’t know if this qualifies for interior decoration, but it surely is a great architectural challenge!
It was made by TNA Architects (the same ones that signed the Figured Glass House presented earlier) through the handy works of the patissier Kouichi Izumi for the Salon de The Cerisier in October 2006. Made of chocolate, this 5 stories creation is a perfectly sweet architecture. I don’t know if I could eat it or stare at it for hours! I can only imagine it tasted as great as it looked!
The Figured Glass House By TNA Architects, Tokyo
This private residence (and office) from Tokyo signed by TNA Architects looks so simple yet so beautiful that I can’t stop looking at it.
The unfinished look, rough but very studied in the same time and the matt windows work together for a foggy, surreal light softened with the light wooden furniture. It’s all geometrical and structured but very accessible and effective. I imagine they would’ve made it warmer if it didn’t had both a private and office use, but even so, the clean shapes and lack of furniture make this Figured Glass House a beautiful house to my eyes.
Highlands Pond House By Antoine Predock
A house in the mountains, inspired by the very daring Aspens landscape.. This angular Highlands Pond House designed by Antoine Predock seems carved in the very mountain.
The center hall is impressive. It leads to the kitchen and breakfast area, the living room, dining room in one direction and the master suite in the other direction. There are also rooms for two teenagers below the public wing and a guest area with a secondary entrance. Mainly made of steel, glass, wood and stone, the Pond House by Antoine Predock has a rigorous architecture and a warm interior, with curvy furniture, to compensate the angular exterior and to compliment the overwhelming landscape.
Banquet Table Lamps By Tna Design Studio For Swarovski Crystallized
These beautiful banquet lamps by Tna Design Studio were made for the Crystallized Swarovski Elements, their wedding themed event named Unbridaled.
It’s a subtle work, the crystals are merely suggested with the dancing shades projected on the tracing paper lamps by the led within. Measuring 85mm for a height of 170mm, the Banquet Table lamps make an excellent take away, a token of a beautiful wedding. Nothing ostentatious, just a beautiful promise of great memories.
Handknitted Wool Poufs And Rugs By Christien Meindertsma
When the world seeks more and more into bio and natural inspired products, Christien Meindertsma’s creations are more than welcomed.
Young Dutch Designer Christien Meindertsma plays with shapes and sheep for her Flocks project. Some of her creations (besides garments) are quite impressive – handmade poufs and rugs, handknitted with giant knitting needles). The rugs are made from the wool of 18 merino sheep, each pouf from a sheep’s wool (each product has a certificate attached to it where you can find information about the sheep from which the product was made). Even if at first, the poufs weren’t colored, now she added some plants ingredients to add color to the lovely poofs. I like my floors carpet-less, but Christien’s work is truly amazing and her rugs and poufs add incredible intimacy and warmth to a room.
