Beautiful Colored Renovated House By Group8

Renovated interior Group8 architects Switzerland

I rarely see a bold use of colors lately. It’s like everybody’s playing it safe and simple. I miss a good splash of joyful color.

So here I have a treat with this transformation of a house from 1900 from Chene-Bougerie, Switzerland into a color bath for the eye and the soul. Made between 2006-2007, this renovation is truly remarkable for it manages to keep the distinct air of an old architecture adding a modern twist, a fresh air with strong colors and clear lines. I could definitely use some Group8 color therapy!

Maison Seven By AUM, Lyon France

Maison Seven AUM France 2

This lovely contemporary house was designed by a French team of architects. They managed to assembly a comfortable living space looking highly artistic and simple in the same time.

Opened spaces, windows instead of having classic garden walls with windows, it all works for the best natural lighting of the interior. Even if I’d rather have as much wood as possible in the house, I find this “Seven House” by Architects Urbains very attractive in its simplicity.

The Library Bath By Malin Lundmark

Library Bath Malin Lundmark

Is it a bathtub? Is it an armchair? Is it a bookshelf? All that and more in the new Library Bath by Swedish designer Malin Lundmark!

For all those trying to spend a relaxing moment in the bathtub, catch up with the latest literature bestsellers, this could be la piece de resistance for you! Malin herself admits that her designs tell a story and they’re placed at the very limit of scenography so this Library bath comes as little surprise for those familiar with her dreamy ways. I would’ve had a computer instead of those books, but maybe I’m just not old fashioned enough for this beautiful bathtub!

Beautiful Whit McLeod Wine Barrel Folding Chair

Wine Barrel Folding chair Whit McLeod

I have a thing for recycled products. Especially for those looking really good! The Wine Barrel Folding Chair by Whit McCleod is not a new design concept, but it surely is a 90% recycled one!

Made from White Oak wine barrels staves, this beautiful wine barrel folding chair is held together by72 screws and four oak rails, build to hold 600lbs. Each chair is made with care, numbered on the back of the seat where there’s also a mention of the winery that was the original’s barrel’s home. True to natural finish, the Whit McCleod Wine Barrel Folding Chair was treated with natural linseed oil. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use, it looks beautiful and really is comfortable!

Klem Coat Rack By Reinier De Jong

Klem Coat Rack Reinier De Jong 2

The Klem Coat Rack is a clever set of aluminum coathangers that can transform into a coat rack just by clipping them on the edges of the right surface. In this case, a mirror.

Whether you choose to use them separately as coat hangers and the mirror as a simple mirror or a coat rack when clipped onto the edges of the mirror, the Klem by Reinier De Jong is a clever design, pure and minimal.

The Stunning Birds Chandeliers By Ingo Maurer

Birdie s nest Chandelier Ingo Maurer

Whether it’s about Birdie, Birds, birds, birds or Birdie’s Nest, I’m most amazed by Ingo Maurer’s beautiful lamps!

Winged bulbs have that heavenly effect on any viewer who’d stop a second and have a look. The stunning chandeliers, signed by Ingo Maurer are made of metal and goose feathers for that bird-effect. Recommended for lower ceilings, any of the chandeliers from the Birds series looks like a true work of art.
