Transparent House – Concrete Art

September 23rd, 2008

Transparent House Concrete Art Project

When I think about flooring, I can’t get wood out of my mind. It’s beautiful, warm, alive, clean. However, it seems concrete should be taken into consideration too.

It clearly isn’t my flooring of choice, but it’s interesting and could find a proper emplacement. Transparent House, the architectural rendering studio, has come up with floral design patterns for concrete floors. Even if they’re conceptual for the moment, the technology really exists and the concrete embroidery can be done. The patterns can be installed before of after the concrete has set in. Where do you think they’d make a good impression? (source via)
