House Tour – Ocho House By Feldman Architecture

House Ocho by Feldman Architecture

I have been searching for inspiration to use for my home and the wooden details on this house helped a lot. I love natural colored wood in a home, it makes it feel alive and look extremely cozy.

This house is located in the Santa Lucia Mountains in an area of oak forests and steep meadows. The construction was provided with overhanging roofs planted with tall native grasses and solar roof. The interior has a loft appearance with vast windows and tall ceilings. The colors used for the interior decoration are rather natural – butter beige, white, natural wood, dark brown and black. The master bedroom has a great view on the forest through almost two walls of widows. Regardless of all the wood used inside and outside, its green Energy and Sustainability Honor award (received from the American Institute of Architects), this House Ocho looks rather cold, wouldn’t you say? 1. […] But more than the wooden inspiration this is a highly sustainable house that uses overhanging green walls and a smart solar roof. That’s the reason it got the green Energy and Sustainability Honor award from the American Institute of Architects. – via decojournal […]

  2. I really have to stop to view this blog because I love so much things here……
I’ve a lot off natural wood too. A wooden floor. Warm and practical. A lot of things can combine with almost everything and still its warm. Wood is my basic in my appartment. Green wood that is. Yes, wood that’s special grown for furnitures and floors. That’s what the guarantee label promised me anyway.

If I only had the money I would invest immediately, no yesterday in a solar roof. I’ve friends who has this system and its cheaper and its green. I dream on for now….
